4th International Conference on Spectroscopic Ellipsometry

June 11-15, 2007, Stockholm, Sweden

Speaker Preparation Guidelines

Please register! All speakers are requested to register with their session chair in the Congress Hall before their session start. Speakers for session SITF2 may register before session SITF1. Presentations for which no speaker has registered may be replaced by standby presentations.

Plan the length of your talk! The schedule for ICSE4 is very tight, and all authors are requested to remain strict within their allotted time! The principle duty of each session chair is the close adherence to our program time line. It is tradition with the ICSE meetings to provide for sufficient discussion time. In order to allow for a live and active conversation with the auditorium after each talk, we request the authors to confine their presentation to within 12 min, 15 min, and 25 min for contributed, invited, and plenary presentations, respectively.

Presentation upload. All authors are requested to transfer their presentation to the computer in the speakers preview room at least 4h in advance. For morning sessions this means the day before. Our technical assistants will then upload the presentation to the main computer system in the Conference Hall prior to their session start. Detailed information will be provided in the conference registration information package. Technical assistants will be present each morning and during all breaks to help with data transfer. All data files will be removed from the computer systems by our technical assistants after each session. Speakers who wish to use their own computer system may risk technical problems during switch over from the main computer video system. Delays may reduce their available time to speak. MacIntosch software is not supported so if you have a MacIntosch computer, you have to bring it to the lecture hall for direct connection to the projector.  Speakers who require an overhead projector system or have special requests must contact the technical assistants before the session.
